high trans temp
i got a 99 cummins auto and this is my first automatic. im just curious how high of temperatures are close to dangerous because i do a good bit of haulin. i got a banks dynafact gauge ranges from 140-320 i believe. usually while towin its a little under 200.

That sounds normal to me when towing heavy.When I'm grossing around 34-36k I don't see anywhere over 200ish so it sounds normal to me,that's not in my cummins though.

Sounds just fine. Transmission oil is heated by coolant in the heat exchanger, then sent to the cooler up front to cool down a little bit. Seeing as your coolant is 190*, give or take, anything around that temperature is fine. If you start seeing 220* or higher, it's time to be concerned.
