Looking at this again...

The 2 major flags to me are:

You just did work on the front end and the problem suddenly cropped up.

And it only occurs when you're hard on the throttle.

I would focus my first looks at the front end work and the driveline... crank--->wheels. If your fluid is dark it still could be clutch slipping... Just packs/bands instead of plate...

Good luck! Scary stuff!

I agree its going in Friday morning for a full on front end look over and full alignment...it did happen once last week while going up a grade that's y I'm leaning toward tyranny and the fluid didn't smell right that's what scares me.. its a stock tranny.. that and an airdog r next on my upgrade list

I've only owned 2 automatics in my life. All three of my cars now are manuals. The 2 autos I owned both had major transmission issues... One due to too much power and had similar symptoms to what you describe and the other, well, that one was just an all-around POS.

A burnt smell and dark fluid seem to point in the direction you're headed.

I had a fuel filter plugged. Shook the hell out of everything when it ran the cylinders dry. Just a thought.

Do you have a good lift pump? The vibration could be caused by low fuel pressure. I know it sounds crazy.
