bad vibration, but also feels like tire slipage?
 

Going to work this morning. Had my quadzilla programmer on 6. Doing 45 MPH got on it a bit and this crazy vibration shoook they whole truck.. I thought tire slipage? But I'm turning 40 inch tires with 4:11 gears. Anyone have any ideas? Just joined today at work get my pics:scare2: and all up tonight

When is it vibrating? Just when you're on the pipe? Anytime you're on the throttle? Just rolling down the road?

Just when I'm hard on the pipe.. it did it a weeekago when I was going up a grade at about 50.. would my alignment have anything to do with it or if my track bar was a tiny bit off? I just put new steering linkage on it last weekend aligner it my self best i could...But like I said it did it 1 time b4..

Sounds like a clutch slipping to me. Slipping and grabbing could cause that vibration.

The other things you are referencing can, and do, cause vibrations but you would notice them at other times... The fact that you are hard on the pipe suggests that your vibration is coming from elsewhere.

BUT... If your front end is loose somewhere... And since you did work on it relatively recently... You should have a front end shop go through the work you did and confirm everything is tight and aligned. It's possible that when you're on the pipe the front end is unweighting enough to allow slop to vibrate the hard parts. My money would be on getting your front end checked first... Need to do it anyways... And then I'd look at the clutch.

id check all your lugs, maybe you have a broken one? set to the right torq spec.
might be worth a shop wheel alignment on the computer.
maybe you lost a weight?
tire air pressure ok?
check for seperation of tires. Any buldging,indentation or wires that can be seen?
none of the above then maybe ur ball joints are pooched.

Its an AUTOMATIC..tires r just about brand new bfg Baja projects. Gunna take it in and get the full on alignment done. Will let u know. Thanks everyone for ur help.. this is tue first fourm ever been involved with. It kicks ass!

I'd be willing to bet it's torque converter shuddering

I had a 03tire a few years ago do the same thing.it was the carrier bearing.

1) Carrier bearing if it has one
2) U-joints
3) Axle wrap
4) Could also be something in the rearend itself.

Check for any play in all ujoints, check your carrier bearing, check for play on the t-case output (or transmission if 2wd) and your input at your differential.
