Nope, all the pumps electronics are already in it. But you will need the puller to get the pump off the gear.

yeah make sure the keyway is facing 12:00 like you said is important, the nut between the pump and the block is fun but other then that it's all fairly easy stuff, once you get all the **** moved out of your way

Why did you choose the HRVP? If you have a good chip on the truck you are not going to gain anything with it except spending more money for it..

I bought the puller for the pump gear. but the cheap steering wheel puller worked fine for me, when I was in a pinch. only real reason to keep the keyway at 12:00 is so the key doesn't fall into the timing gear. alot of extra work to get it if it fell inside. what I did on mine was ping punch the key so it flared out some. That way its fits snuggly into the keyway on the pump. You would have to really knock into something pretty hard to have knocked it out during installation.

The reason he went with a HRVP, bc he wanted the extra power and everyone around town kinda push him into. But hes got that, a edge juice with attitude and 90hp injectors. I need to test the injectiors. Also does the hvrp have any fuel milage?
