Default replacing P pump

I successfully fried the p7100 pump in my 95 so I bought another 95 160hp pump off a guy near me that was bone stock, un touched. all chambers were plugged when he took it off and all. Very clean pump. My question is if I have to do anything special or be aware of anything before installing it on the truck again? just to dodge as many bullets as I can on this pump.
Thanks

It will never be as cheap or easy to mod that pump as it is right now.

Jus' sayin'.
