Default seems like a loss of boost... stumped...

Ok guys i know the title makes me look like a rookie and i guess i am... i was driving my truck the other day and noticed it did sound right.... the whistle when i let off was different and i let off after hard acceleration and it didn't bark the turbo... max psi with truck in sig and an hx35 is 30 psi... i don't know what it was before cause i had blown my gauge hose off and hadn't bothered to hook it back up... i havent found any signs of boost or exhaust leaks.... it spools hard up to like 28 then falls on its face.. i left my boost fooler unhooked one time and thats what it feels like but its still hooked and clean connections...

Waste gate is open.....would be my guess.

You can also build one of these to test for leaks : https://www.dieselbombers.com/dodge-...tructions.html

Sure can I don't see why not just keep an eye in your boost so you dont over boost it and shatter your turbo. Stock turbo I would say no more than 35 psi.
