Question Vacuum issues ? ? ?

Ok heres the truck 2001 QCSB A/T 4x4 slt

and heres the problem 's ....

1.) no 4x4.... t-case goes in gear just no front axle engagement

2.) no cruise control..light comes on on the dash but doesnt work

3.) nothing but the defroster works for heat/ or any air for that matter

now as i look at this i have some vacuum issues!!!!

where should i start for this / these issues...i have been told the CC thing is under the driverside battery but i have no idea what im looking for other then a hose thats undone or cracked/broken and im totally stumped on the 4x4....i know there is an actuaitor on the front housing but i dont have any equipment to test vacuum pressure...is this something i should have a shop look at?

or could this be a bigger issue with all these vacuum problems starting about the same time?

thanks in advance,

Tony

With all that not working, I'd start at the vacuum pump. Most likely, and common, is the hose that goes into the vacuum pump has popped out. The vacuum pump is below the injections pump, and has the power steering pump piggy backing it.

When I replaced my clutch in my 99 I accidentally pulled out a hose going to my oil pump I think and that made it so I wasnt getting 4wd, checked everything and finally found that, plugged it in and everything worked! probly not much help but thats what did it for me

When I fitted my fuel system I pulled the vac line from the pump to the bulkhead out without noticing. Had all the symptoms you are having, found the pipe and hooked back up and it's good as new again! Have a good look around the vac lines, more than likely a simple fix

Banks Monster Ram inlet-BHAF-Pensecola 50hp injectors-Raptor 150 lift pump-GDP Big lines-Banks heater delete-Smarty-BD low pressure light........for now
