Default improving gas mileage

any advice on how to improve mileage ,the cheapest way, air intake have much effect, I can get at 50 miles an hour 30 mlpg which Im pleased with, but pulling 10000 pound trailer drops to 10 with 4th locked out, wondered if that is normal, with 300000/ 180000 k/ miles on it value adjustment may be necesary ?

Yes a valve adjustment would be good. Usually about ever 50K miles on the 24vs is a good idea. Also a air intake and 4in turbo back exhaust works wonders. If you dont have a lift pump you need to put that on the list. That will protect your injection pump. Then you could add a programmer to bump up the mpgs even more. Adding the intake and exhaust should bump up your mpgs 1-3 depending on brand and driving style. Adding a programmer will bump it up more.

Yes HP=MPGs but you have to stop at some point because there is a happy balance that you can find. Are vendors on here are awesome. Just go to the price quote thread on the main page and post in there. There are alot of brands out there so its picking the one you want before you ask price. I have AFE on both my trucks. Love them. You could also start a new thread and ask some other 24v guys what intake they are running and how they like it. Im in Colorado. Im actually trying to sell that Dart now. Focusing more on my 1946 Mercury
