Default Gas mileage

Hi everyone how are you...... I used to own a 2006 F-250 Crew cab and i'm in the market for a new Diesel truck. I am considering either a GMC 2500 Denali or a Dodge 2500 mega cab. I would like your advise on the two and which one will give me better gas mileage (using a chip or not) and if using a chip or a "system" (Banks or Bullydog), which system has proven worth the money? Thank you in advance, and have a great day.

What are the plans for the truck?
What year truck are you buying?
As far as performance do you have a budget? or goal?

I'm looking at a 2011-2012 GMC or Ram mega cab. The truck will be used for my daily driver, my waterless detailing business, towing a 6x10 enclosed trailer and my Cigarette boat..... but mostly my daily driver. I had a 2006 F-250 crew cab but is 2008-2009 the economy tanked and I ended up selling all of my toys including my truck. I like the ford, but the GMC seems to have a nicer ride and the Ram Mega cab is spacious and I liked the ride. I'm older now (46) and more conscience of gas mileage and comfort. The truck will be cared for and I am asking around to see who gets what gas mileage with what truck (and chip or tuner). What are your thoughts???

the epa has very strict laws on the new truck, tough to get grat mpg out of them unless they are deleted, i have seen a non deleted 2015 ram 4500 with a TS Stylker get 17-18 mpg. i am sure sometime RAW will chip in with what he is getting with his '14
as far as the GMC trucks go i cannot be of much help with Mpg

Thanks for the info! I'm assuming that "deleted" means the warranty will be voided....
