Default manual tranny problems

Last night I was driving down the freeway when I lost 50 gear. When I stopped I come to realize that I had lost first second third fith and reverse when this happened I'd stop and check the fluids everything was normal transmission was not hot. Does anyone have any ideas of what is to be? I managed to get the truck home in fourth gear it never popped out of gear once so I have no idea what is going on

What they said, thats what it sounds like to me also. When I replaced my main shaft and input shaft in my 99. I bought all my stuff from anaheim gear. I think you can google them. They had everything I needed for my trans rebuild. gears, shafts bearing, you name.

if you only have 4th that is direct which no torque passes through ur countershaft in 4th you couple input shaft straight to mainshaft, id say something with ur countershaft

Ya just had exact same thing fixed on a buds truck helped him pull it apart. Stripped out mainshaft gear it's the first gear in and transfers the power to every other gear so fourth or direct will still work. was about 300+ in parts alone.
