My 1998.5 cummins is making a weird noise when at idle then once I start driving it it goes away then when I stop at a red light its back it almost sounds like a compressor but I can't find where its coming from its really bugging me

 

Check behind you power steering pump at the vacume pump. May be making some extra noise. How are your dash to floor heat controls working??

 

My ac and heat work just fine haven't tried my floor yet but I've noticed when the ac gets turned on the noise is a little loused makes me think something with the ac maybe
