black wire that went to the white wire with orange on it....my cousin who knows some things about vehicles said to match the black with that one and sure ****....

 

im pretty sure its gonna be aftermarket if it locks in second. to my knowledge the 47/48re from 98-07 will only lock in third and forth. you have to have a modified vb to lock in first and second and have either a controller or lock switch.

 

are those wires seriously twisted together and electrical taped....

 

they were, not anymore...I soldered them. Don't you worry Joseph
