How much fuel is in the tank? Any small leaks anywhere? How did you mount the draw straw?

Just installed one of those myself. Is it sluggish. Also the pick up tube with a full tank of fuel needs to be .750" to 1" off bottom of tank with a grove about .250" wide cut into bottom of pickup tube. I don't think an air leak would prevent the airdog from running without starting. It should turn on with key switch in run position after being off for 1 minute or so.

sounds to me like your vents are stopped up in the tank and its creating a vaccum. when you are running it or when you shut it off jump out and loosen the fill cap if it pulls air in you have pluged vents just fix them or add another. i had one in the shop that did that took forever to figure out it was something that simple. the pumps push so much volume they can create a nice vaccum and when it does it will suck all the fuel back out of the lines.

Where is your return? I just got done wqorking on a truck that the airdog lost prime and ran the truck dry. We found the return was dumping too close to the suction tube and was causing lots of air to get into the system. Routed the return for the airdog differently and has ran fine since, despite the mechanic she took it too using a whole can of ether trying to start it and cutting all the wires for her chip, not to mention breaking sensors digging in the engine bay. But that seemed to be the problem with hers with the return causing air to suck into the supply.
