Default Question for the pros

I have no mods on tmy truck trying to get it in correct working order. If I install a HX35 turbo on my 01 with a automatic stock trannsmission (stock HY35) will it burn up my stock trany or is it not that much of a difference. Thanks in advance for the info.

Just changing the turbo will make minimal difference in overall power, maybe, MAYBE 1 or 2 HP. Fuel is what makes power. The HX will spool slightly slower as it has a larger exh. housing compared to the HY. If mods are planned, a HX is a better turbo then the HY.
