ATTN Engine Flush

Blew my headgasket 2 months ago, truck had to sit for 2 months cause i immediately went on the road. Coolant was like chocolate pudding. Any special mixes out there to run thru the engine once i get it back together? I figured i would just mix 1 gallon of coolant and the rest water to save money til flushed out. Its not gonna freeze anytime soon here in Tx

I just remove the thermostat and take off the return hose at the radiator and stick a hose in the fill cap and turn the pickup on and let it circulate.

I would run a diluted detergent solution and change it out every day for a few days to a week or so. That oil will gum up your radiator and cause overheating problems if you don't get it cleaned out.

Then do the hose in the fill cap thing to finish it up.

This sounds right to me, Purple Power or SuperClean 50/50 will make quick work of cleaning the crap out.
Maybe just run without rad cap so the cleaner expansion doesnt create a problem. Say for a 20 min. run or so.
Then straight water to get all the mix out.
Then Glycol/water 50/50 & you should be set.
