I did mention that this thing was rebuilt right? I do also see what you mean about the 2 peices of metal and also today i did notice on the bearing housing it said USA on it if that means anything

 

Rebuilt or not, that's not a dodge cummins factory equiped turbo like the guy told you. Usa don't mean anything realy, just proves its not some chineses copy cat like you find on ebay.

 

Duke i did look closer at it today and i can confirm it does have the 2 metal peices (flange)

 

Took the truck to the diesel shop today confirmed its an hx35w also removed paint from tag looking foward to putting it on the dyno on may 7

Compressor side may be but that is no dodge cummins hx35w factory exhaust housing by any stretch. Keep in mind, it is pretty easy to swap those so it could have been done. If you happen to see a part number on it, post it up and ill run it by the local turbo shop
