So, I guess then your insurance is void because of the FASS you have installed. Youre fuel system is modified and the additional components arent Transport Canada "approved"

Not being a just pointing out something you may not have thought of.

Not exactly on the FASS or any other pusher pump - As long as the part replaces a OEM part and has a SAE stamp on it you are ok. Where you run into problems is when you cut holes in the fuel tank, modify the venting and such.

I know you aren't being a - I hope I wasn't either. I'm just trying to point out the "legal" aspects of where every individual should ask themselves what camp they belong to.

I have another bit on hydrocarbons in the cab space somewhere and it basically says the same thing as I have said here. Now engineering wise, if you can prove, design or provide a second means of containment for the fuel from the back of the gauge you are likely ok - much like a earthen dyke in an oil field - the tank is primary, the foundation is secondary and the dyke is the last effort made on containment.

Anyway, back to my point - to each his or hers own is all I'm saying.

I just used an LED lighted bolt that shines on it. You can get them for a few dollars each on Ebay but I don't use Ebay anymore so mine came from here. Takes about 5 minutes to install anyplace you want to put it.

This is a funny discussion...

This amounts to the same thing if we are caught using 2 cycle oil in our fuel... It's a un-authorize chemical or additive. You can recieve fines for using it. But that does bother me... I still use it...

Same thing again... Its against US Federal laws to tamper with air filters or exhaust systems to increase noise levels... Listed right in my owner manual... Wow! That was the first BOMB I did to my truck... Been that way for over 4 years now... I'm even posting it on my web page... Come and get me... (Yeah right...) Local cops love my truck and never even gave me a bad time about it...

Basically the only time you got to worry about these dumb laws if you get caught till then it time to BOMB your truck, relax and enjoy the power!
