99 dodge cummins hard start when warm
Seems prices go between $900-$1500, and you get what you pay for. My buddy opted for a new pump directly from Bosch when he had to do his. Cost him more, but he knows its new, and not a cheap rebuild. I think it cost him $1600 for the pump alone.
My 98.5 is doing the same thing as yours. It starts fine after sitting overnight.I have a cheap Harbor Freight Gauge screwed directly into my fuel filter and have been checking Fuel Pressure every start.Im getting about 14PSI when I turn key(before Starting)then about(because its a cheap 100 PSI gauge)13PSI at start when ideling but cannot give WOT because its under hood.i replaced The lift pump(advance Auto made up last LP because it stoped working and because of cheap gauge i caught it)but it Is stock(like rest of my truck)and when i get the money im going to airdog. The crankshaft position sensor(i replaced it after i bought it when it threw code) is less then 6 months old&i have never cleaned the intake sensors but the 72 year old man i bought truck from kept all maintance up on it(i have put 14K on it since i bought it. I have 212K on truck now.Any help would be appreciated. Please Help i cant afford a VP right now!
Dont go with airdog, I have seen more threads started on here in the past couple weeks all saying why is their pump junk. Save your money.
