i bought mine from a guy local to me. he owns www.ledgauges.com he did a group buy on these on our local board for $220. he offers a 1 year warranty through him. these have seperate ballast per side and are only for low beam. they are bright enough that i don't need high beams. i rarely get people flashing their headlights at me with them.

i didn't replace my headlight lenses BUT this is what i did.

being the amature paint and body guy i am i removed the lights when i painted the truck, i took a block with 400 grit wet sand paper to remove the old yellow layre of plastic on the lens wetsanding it by hand. then went to 800 grit, then 1000 grit then 1500 grit and lastly 2000 grit. then i took an adjustable speed buffer and polishing compound used for buffing clear coat and went to town. i used 3M heavy duty polishing compound to start then Aura 2000, then Aura 3000 that i applied by hand with a terry cloth. then use a high quality wax and you will be good as new.

i've also used Blue Coral Fiberglass and boat polish with good success on Mustang headlights.

if you contact Nathan @ ledgauges.com tell him Benjamin from TMCA sent ya.

With these bulbs:

And it made a major differance with my lighting.

I can't say if your right or wrong, I don't have a clue. But some kits you look at say DOT Approved/Street Legal and others say Not DOT Approved/For Offroad Use Only. That's the only thing I was going off of.
