4 wheel drive disconnect
I was wondering is there any way to do a 4 wheel drive disconnect. I want to be able to put the truck in 4Low 2 wheel drive for backing up my trailers. I know about the posi-lok but it's pricey. I was wondering if you could bring aone of the vaccum lines up into the cab run it into a valve and then back down to the axle. shut the valve off no vaccum to the front axle should be no 4x4 right. Let me know what ya think.

someone on here posted something about a solenoid he put in. i think it was off of some turbocharged ricer, for boost reference, blow-off valve or something like that.

4x4 posilock for positive front axil engaugemen/ or disengaugement
Making your own 4x4 kit is nice but takes time and you also have to have a good vaccume pump on your motor. if your vaccume pump is failing like mine that has 320000 miles then you may want to try this option by a company called 4x4 posilok. I found it a bit more difficult to install than originally expected, but we got it on the third try. you have to have it adjusted lengh wise to the proper lenght , i rant into a problem where it was unlocked and would somewhat lock in while taking hard left turns. think it was due to some wore out parts on the left suspention.. anyway it is the best way to have for sure 4x4 when you need it and go to 4x2 low if you want it.
