Fuel pump( fass) relay voltage from ECM
Here it goes i have have a 98.5 and a 99 with fass 150s. These were installed to protect my vp44s. The current problem that i have on both trucks is i only have 8.5v to my 12v relay. As you can guess their is not enought voltage to activate the solenoids so my pumps wont come on. My 98.5 is still running and has been for the last 5 months the 99 is still running for the last 5 months but has more fuel needs. I know that i need at lest 5 psi to the vp44 to ensure that i have sufficent pressure to keep from damaging the injector pump. I dont have fuel pressure gauges to tell me what i am getting to my vp44. I am working on getting these installed.
My question to everyone is why dont i have the 12 volts coming from my ECm to to my solenoid to turn on my pumps. I have rewired the 99 to provide fuel to injector pump when the key is turne on. I have not gotten around to the 98.5 yet. Has anyone had this problem? Is it due to a loose ground. I am driving with a loaded weapon waiting for it to explode on me and send me to the vp 44 pump store.
Thank Steve

Check your ground.
How is your ground configured?
Also, check your voltage ahead of and past the relay and fuse.
If you cannot locate your problem try removing and rewiring to insure you have good and clean connections.
I'm guessing that you will have found it by now, if not get a new harness from FASS. GOOD LUCK..btw
