Well it seems my trans has a mind of its own. Its having trouble finding 2nd gear, skipping to 3rd but not every time some times it finds 2nd and shifts just fine. any ideas to hold me over until new tranny can be bought

 

I'm assuming an Auto? Mine hops over 2nd frequently if not under some load. I've been told it's working properly, but I still don't like it. Once I accelerate harder it will hold in 2nd, does yours? You could try and apps adjust and reset.

 

yeah its auto. mine will hold rpms until i hit about 25 mph i let off the gas a lil and hits 3rd. sometimes it will catch 2nd and go. im going to do a apps reset today to see if it works out

 

did apps reset it did nothing for the problem....i have to let out of the gas for it to go in 2nd gear any ideas..im going to change out the filter and fluid next week..i was going to adjust the bands but a guy at a tranny shop told me more than likely the band is wore out or broke. I DONT KNOW

 

Before you go How many miles is on the trans?Tranny shop wants to do a rebuild.I wouldnt do that yet.I would do a filter and fluid change and adjust the bands and put a new solenoid kit in .. "RE" Solenoid Master Kit 00 Up
