I called Genos Garage this morning and talked to Andy who was most helpful. We discussed the EV2 FP guage. He said that they received numerous complains about the way the wires attached to the guage. [which I believe is the problem]Very poor design, and I agreed.
We discussed the Mechanical guage aswell and I decided to order the Mechanical. Andy promissed me a full refund on the electronic guage even though I had cut the supplied wireing harness to fit my truck. He said there was no problem, Genos Garage just wanted their coustomers one hundred percent happy. Would'nt it be great if all business were that Honorable. I am not driving my truck until the guage is installed and acurate readings are available. I can't afford another VP44 right now. When I make the switch and know the acurate fuel pressure I will install a better fuel pump. I want to thank all the helpful members of Diesel Bombers for all their helpful information, Thanks, Kerley

Genos Garage is great people. By buying from them you also support this site as they are a sponsor.

Your mechanical guage will be installed very similar (off the fuel filter housing), but you will need a needle valve also. You run it barely cracked so that you get a smooth reading on the guage.

If you have any more questions, let 'em rip and somewone will help you out.

Okay: I ordered the new mechanical fp guage friday. It arrived at my front door monday and I installed it tuesday. A total piece of cake. It is installed and working as should. Reads 13 pounds at Idle, with no leaks. I have my goose neck trailer hooked up and am ready to Boogie. I will pick up five ton of hay tomorrow and when I get back home I will know more, we will see.

You have a needle valve in there to protect the guage from the pulses?
