soundproofing

Yesterday I removed my rear seat to have a look at the space behind it. To my surprise, the rear wall of the cab has absolutely nothing on it! I thought the carpet would have extended between the floor and the window, but it sure doesn't. No wonder there is so much road noise coming in the cab!!

I don't suppose you did a test drive after soundproofing the rear wall, did you? A before and after kind of thing? I can only imagine in made a huge difference.

Also, I went to the sounddeadener web site and tried looking into ordering the bulk 100sq ft roll. There are no shipping options for Canada, so I tried to send them an email. It came back undeliverable, damn! This morning I tried calling, "number not available in ypour area", damn again! Do these guys just not want to deal with us up here, or is something else going on? Any ideas?

I used the Damplifier Pro on my truck and it worked very well.
Damplifier Pro - Automotive Sound Deadener CLD Vibration damping mat - See what all the fuss is about This is a link to their site. It worked really well inside the cab but do to the self stick it wouldn't work for the firewall. I'm looking for some kind of spray on material for the firewall if someone has any suggestions. They have a dealers list on their site and there are a few Canadian dealers listed.

RA Williams they have a dealer listed in Calgary. They could just bus it up to you. I just used the Damplifier Pro but they have a mat that goes over this to make a complete sound proofing system. Good luck
