Default Final Follow up on new lift pump with my rebuilt vp44

Got me a better gauge today and checked my pressure on my lift pump. Got a 0 to 30 psi gauge.

On starter bump i get 14 psi.
start engine and run im getting 12 psi at idle.

Put truck in gear, hold brake and acelerate i run at 9 psi when really pulling hard.

So I'm hoping that is good enough for my stocker around town.

OH yeah! I never realized how stupid I am.

I realized I have a intercooler on my truck! Duh! I was thinking it was my air conditioning condensor.

Like they say sometimes you can't see the forest for the trees.

Do you have A/C as well? My A/C condenser is in front of my air to air, followed by the rad. 9PSI in my mind is BORDER LINE. Many would agree that 10 PSI is minimal at WOT. I think you are safe....for now.

I would do and upgrade as soon as money let's you, 9 lbs. is not much, I know I am happy with my Raptor setup.

20 lbs. at idle and with little ol' 275 sticks I can't pull it below 15 psi. with my foot buried in it.

Default Raptor set up

Which Raptor set up did you install. Where did you mount it and did you need additional kits to complete the installation. Did you keep your factory installed lift pump. Please explain installation procedure. The more I read about fuel systems the more confused I become. Thank you, Kerley

i got the airdog setup and at WOT it wont go below 15. And if fuel pressure is going below 10 replace your pump.

Which size Airdog do you have now. Did you have any modifications to the fuel tank or fuel lines. Did you remove the factory lift pump in the engine block next to the factory fuel filter?

if ur just going to keep it stock i would recommend a fass ddrp just a direct replacement pump goes right where ur stock lift pump is and ia more that enough to handle a stock pickup
