Default speaker problem

i put in my jvc radio and wired it all up turned the key and everything works other than the sound. i checked all connections and everything is good i am positive i have the right wires, but no sound. so then i took a home stereo speaker and twisted its wires to the stereo wires and it works! now my problem is why don't the in door speakers work? how can i fix them? i checked the radio fuse...its fine.

Could you fill out your sig so we know what we are dealing with? Do you have the infinity system?

That's what I was figuring as well. The Infinity system has an extra module that needs to be powered up to run the speakers.

i do have the infinity system. what you are saying about the other wire makes since...maybe thats that lime green wire that was hangin in the middle of everything!!! i'll give that a shot and let ya no. i am running a kicker amp and ten inch sub... hooking that remote wire to the stock system and my kicker amp shouldn't hurt anything should it?

does anyone no for sure what color this wire is?

If the current draw is too high between the amp, and the factory system it may trip something internally in the cd player. If so, a relay set up would be required. I'm looking up the wire color now.

Yep, looks to be a light green (LG) wire powering the Radio Choke Relay. That in turns powers the relays for your speakers. Hope that gets you fixed.

also make sure that the antenna is plugged in to the back of the radio, i have in stalled some in the past and wouldnt work until i plugged the antenna in. if that doesnt work i would deffinetly recheck your speaker wire connections.. do you have a wire install kit too? those help a TON!!!

i got them goin! thanks guys. it was the light green wire that was the trick. Rooster24v suprisingly this radio works without an antenna... which is weird because any other stereo i've ever installed in other cars wouldn't work without it. I tried the little connecter thing to go from stock to aftermarket from wal mart but it did not have the hookup for the light green either. thanks guys
