That sounds very odd! How does the turbo feel for end and side play?

 

might check for boost leaks like intake gaskets... happened to mine

 

I haven't had a chance to look at the turbo yet because I've been so busy this week with cfd and work and little projects around the house, not to meantion being sick also. Ill have to check soon though, maybe its not barking like I think it is and its just the result of having it straight piped and having the intake on it and sounding like it, it isn't that loud unless I'm really on it and shifting fast so maybe I'm wrong thinking its doing this and I'm just hearing it spool down possibly? Not really sure I guess if you heard it you'd be able to tell me but I'm thinking maybe its nothing and I'm just getting worried for no reason. I can tell for sure it barks when I'm racing but I shift fast enough normally that it happens for a second and then it stops just as quick as it started, but like driving around town normally its just a slight noise not nearly as loud as the times when I'm really on it

 

You should hear a 7.3 powerstroke with an intake. They surge all the time.
