53 BLOCK- Cracked block.
hello there,
I am usually a 12v guy, but i just purchased a 98.5 24v. i bought it with a cracked block on the passenger side.
does anybody know any kits or idea's to fix this?
Either i replace the block, replace the motor, or fix the crack.
will JB weld hold up?
-Thanks

Some have welded them but with limited sucess. You have to get ahold of a decent welder that knows how to weld cast iron.
check out Muggy Weld, LLC Specialty Alloys and Electrodes

I personally think the best fix is a reblock. Oh yeah, JB weld isnt going to hold.
