What kind of boost numbers should i be making with a 98 24v ?

Its stock with a Silverline 4 inch turbo back system.

 

stock wastegate is set around 20 psi...i maxed out my 02 at about 23 on the stock boost elbow w/ my quad on level 3

 

My gauge says its pushing 18-20 psi. I was told it should be making 26-28...

 

you was told wrong man...look into either a boost elbow or some way of plugging the wastegate line you could get w/e you can fuel to, but try and keep it around/below 37 psi max

 

Do you have an auto or manual transmission? The turbos were different between the two truck depending on transmission. The turbo that was on my truck originally would only make 18 PSI before any wastegate tampering. I switched turbos, installed one of a truck with a stick, and now I make 36 PSI. This newer turbo also has a modified wastegate and boost elbow.

 

She's an auto.
