I just bought my dads 1998 24v Dodge, and have a few questions for the diesel junkies
First off, I know theres tons of aftermarket chips out there, currently the truck has a bully dog on it, I'm wondering if there are better chips/programmers than that one? The truck has 4" mandrel bent exhaust, so i was wondering if an air intake would help her breathe? If so, are there any better than the others? I also have an electrical question, my abs and brake like come on all the time, not sure if I should take it to a local Dodge dealer, and my gas gauge will show the current level, then show its empty and the gas light comes on while im going down the road. Any help would be great.... thanks!

I would put an edge juice on it or a smarty. I would look into a stage 2 afe air intake. And get a nice set of gauges to monitor egt's, boost, and fuel pressure which is extremely important on the vp44 trucks. Unless you by the edge juice with attirude then it comes with a digital gauge setup. You also should do a aftermarket lift pump on it so you have good fuel pressure. And also what tranny does it have in it?

there are many different products on the market. i would take a look at all your options and ask some of our sponsors some questions before making your decisions as there is alot of knowledge on this site and alot of awesome guys to help you out. some of the products might be better than others for your needs...fuel mileage...hp and so on. as for your gauges it sounds like you could either have some sensor problems or something is going on with your cluster. feel free to ask as many questions as you need and there are no dumb questions.
