Starting Problems
#11
There was only a click when I first tried to start it and it hasn't even made a click since then, not one sound just a little buss that comes from under the dash by the passenger side. Could it be a fuse ? Also I haven't heard the airdog turning on before as soon as I opened the key I could hear the airdog turning on.

There is a 30 Amp fuse in the Power Dist. Center under the hood, along with a Relay for the starter motor. Fuse is #9, should be labeled on the cover, and the relay location as well. To my knowledge, and what my manual says, these are the only two components between the key switch, and the starter.
You could check for power from the key at the 86 pin, ground at the 85, Continuity between the "S" terminal on the starter solenoid and terminal 87 of the relay, and if the fuse is good, there should be Battery Voltage at the 30 pin of the Relay. 87a terminal is not used in this application:
Hope this helps.

I think I found the problem, I took the plastic that covers from the positive post of the starter I actually had to break that plastic it was pretty hard was there a better way to take it off, anyways I took that off and got a screw driver to touch the positive with the negative and started right up. So I took the starter off and its pretty dirty its got tons of grease and oil around it, should I get it rebuild theres a guy here in town that charges me 60 bucks to fix it. What do you guys think?

Ok so finally I got the starter back on the truck I hadn't had the chance to install it till today. Got every thing connected back the batteries and all and the truck does not start, I switched the starter relay from another truck and still nothing. I also got one of those light tester to check the brown wire on the starter and it did not lit up what else can I check?

there is a fuse in your fuse panel under the hood, its a 20 or 30amp fuse that powers the relay i cant remember the number i can get it if you need. I had a bad starter and this happened to me change that fuse and starts up

20 Amp "Start Sol" should be the one then.
Some things to try:
Insure you wipers work, then swap your wiper relay, and security relay.
Insure you blower motor works at full speed, then swap it with your start relay.
If you do this, and the starter works but either wipers or blower doesn't, you'll know which relay is bad.
Checking for continuity in your wires will be the next step. This is very important to do.
