Default Trans upgrade

OK..Im looking to upgrade the tranny for a long trip this summer pulling a 36' 5th wheel. Im looking at just doing the TC VB and a deep pan with all synthetic fluids. Im going to add 100hp injectors too at sometime. I will not be racing this truck no boost launches just towing and driving to work.

My ? is should I look into a new tranny or just buy the parts and install them?

I dont know but i think it has been pulled and rebuilt the tranny lines are not in there stock holders. But the truck has 173k on it. it works great but im affraid the TC wont last when i start pulling in the hills. I really dont have 4g to drop all out right now i was figuring on getting these parts then having it rebuild next winter by a local guy who builds our racing trannys.
