Default Smoking too much?

My truck just recently had a new injection pump put on but it seems to smoke alot compareds to other 24v I see and alot more than my buddy's. It has an Edge Comp without the pump tapped and when I go into lockup it will just smoke out black smoke. It will also puff out a large cloud of black smoke when I let out of it after WOT. I have hit 22 PSI of boost at WOT but have a hard time getting over 15 PSI, and yes I do have an adjustable boost elbow. Any ideas, the truck runs fine but would like to actually get power out the that unburnt fuel. Could it be injectors? Thanks

Possibly a loose or torn boot. Just a thought.

check the easy stuff first air cleaner filter is it dirty. check your wastgate does it move up and down ok. check your air to air boots like dizzyram said they rub on the lower p/s if your not sure you can build a tester kit

Check for boost leaks or you might have a set of injectors in there.

Do what the other guys said, sounds like you got a boost leak beacause you should be gettin more boost than that.

So it sounds like a boost leak? Is there any posssiblity that an injector is sticking open a little? I don't want to wash a cylinder. I am sure it doesn't have after market injectors because it doesn't seem to have an over abudance of power.

Just to clarify the truck smokes during low boost situations also and it does not have as much power, especially when pulling as I think it should. It won't hold 65mph pulling 5-6k lbs. I have to hit 70+ for it to hold on a hill, if I get below 70mph then my speed rapidly decreases.

Well I built a boost tester and found a couple of leaks, one at a clamp and two very small leaks where there is a tiny hole in a boot. But I can't get the system to stay pressurized. I can hear a leak, and I don't know if it is a valve letting air out. I hear the leak on passenger side of motor and can seem to hear it louder from under the truck. I bumped the starter to try and rotate valves, but with no success. Any ideas? Is there any other way to cycle motor without the starter? Thanks
