You can pull the pump and take it into a shop where they can bench test it. This will tell ya for sure and it's not expensive to have it done provided you can pull and re-install the pump yourself.

 

Is it hard to do pulling the pump

 

Pullin it is simple as pie, puttin it back is not hard you just have to go slow and pay attention to what your doin the first time doin it.

 

how hard is it to get the gear off the front i dont have that speacial tool and i live in the country about 30-40 mins from were i can get one and on top of that my bigest problem is i have no vehical my ol ladie blew her car up the other dy its been a bad week
