99bomber,

If it is the oil pan leaking, I have heard and read a post where someone cut the cross member, removed the pan and did the repair, installed the pan and welded the member back in place. Needless to say, I needed to replace the oil pan gasket. So I lifted the motor just enough to get the pan out. It is not difficult, but yet it was a minor PITA. I just got the gasket from Advance autostore, there is a TSB that says to add RTV to the back portion of the pan. Can't remember the number of the TSB. The rear main seal, well I had mine replaced when my tranny was being rebuilt. Hope this all helps.
