ok replaced the starter, and it continues to run after its started. checked the relay and its fine. i was told it could be the ignition switch, but i unhooked the battery to see if it would stop, and it continued to run. not sure what else it could be?

 

New ones junk, trade in as defective

 

I would have to agree, I would take it back and get another. Was it a reman from an auto store? Was it from a doner?
