Default New to the Diesel World

I have just entered a whole new world. Anything big I should know about owning a Diesel? I just bought a 2000 Dodge SLT Laramie Cummins 24v. It has a 4" lift on 35 x 18 Toyo muds, 4" from turbo back Magnaflow w/ 6" tip, Edge Juice w/ Attitude. I'm looking to replace the fuel pump, it has a hard time keeping up in stage 4 and 5. Any info would be greatly apperciated.

Fass or Airdog systems are a good replacement.

get that lift pump changed quick. ive gone through two of them and an injector pump. unless you have a beefed up tranny i wouldnt run it on 5 too much. i'd put a bigger intake on it next its all about keepin your engine from starvin. any questions about products hit me up with a message

If the Edge doesn't already have one, need to get a fuel pressure gauge.

i prefer the airdog my self and havent had a problem as of yet with it. if its an auto, take it easy, or u can tear the TC out of it in no time. good luck and any questions, ask and will try and help the best.

Default new

Thanks for the info. The TC is new but not an aftermarket... Need to get the truck paid for then start adding parts and lots of them. I'm kind of a gear head, worked on restoring some classics to turning them into a ture Hot Rod. Now i'm turning my attention to Diesels. I want to learn as much as possible, I research the hell out of somethings. Sometimes to much, but that is what makes it fun and exciting. Talk to some of you guys later on in the post
