i been readin on here and seen bout this silencer ring in the turbo is it in the vp trucks as well or did they do something to quiet the turbo down from the old p-pumped trucks i cant tell what they look like mine may be removed thanks for the help and great site

 

im not sure what years they have them in for sure 98-? but you pull your intake pipe off at the turbo inlet and there is a little ring in there holded down by a snap ring just pull it out with small screw driver

 

be sure not to let any metal chips get into your turbo.

 

yea i found it i couldnt find it on my truck but i found it on my dads 03 common rail and threw it out.

 

Does he know it. When you say threw it out do you mean like in the garbage Or just removed it
