well took her in this morning, got a new filter put on and new fluid, got the bands adjusted, drove to town tried to back into a parking spot... no reverse?? limped it to a local tranny shop. They dropped the pan and my fluid was so black and it stunk (burnt smell) and there were pieces of what looked like the bands... so sounds like a 3500.00 fix later and i get to pick my truck up on tues..

...so if anyone wants to add to the Rooster fund that would be much appreciated!

Been there done that twice. Finally forked out the money for a fully built suncoast tranny. You wanna play you got to pay

 

I was pretty t'd off but now im better.. wife took me out for mexican food. now with my luck ill ending up getting the hershey squirts....

 

These trannys in these trucks are like a small car payments. That sucks man. Did you flex up like the pic at the trans guy, did he have fear in his eyesHow long you have the DTT there nice trannys.

 

Ive had the tranny in there for about 5 years now with about 40,000 miles on it..

 

well got the new parts installed drove it home tonight seems to be alright.. i have pics of the old parts which i will post tomorrow evening.. not pretty thats for sure!

 

What parts did they use? New TC?
