the wastegate rod dont move much..........I have rigged up a couple times with my air compressor and a gauge to set my wastegate where I wanted it and the rod dont move much at all

I disabled my stock wastegate with a turnbuckle and ended up trashing the turbo.................lotsa RPM will send it to orbit unless ya have a working wastegate....dont mess with it JMHO

 

Its a 2001 six speed has edge juice with attitude, CAI, 4 inch turbo back. Hes only hittin 25lbs of boost. whats the best way to get more boost?

 

add more fuel will increae boost.................bigger injectors and if it were me I would do a better charger along with it


about 28 lbs is what he should be seein right now

 

Ok hes gettin a ATS 3000 soon but he just wants more till he gets the charger with out gettin sticks. Can the wastegate be disconnected to achieve more boost?

 

I would just leave it alone if it were me.............he is near the map effeciency anyway...in other words if he makes much more pressure it will be alot of hot air and that will just make the EGTs that much higher

he will love the 3000,...............push him forward towards that

 

He gonna need bigger sticks to lite the 3000 though
