I got a Reman ECM for my 2001 cummins from auto computer exchange out of florida, put it in, and everything is messed up. Oil and temp gage max out, engine light on, and very slow throttle response. Part numbers match up identical on ecm. Has anyone used these guys before or know somewhere else to get a cheaper ecm than from the dealer? I paid $625 for this one and they can't refund my money, all they can do is warranty it and send me another one.

 

The software has to be matched to the one that was removed from the truck.

 

Yeah they programmed it to match my truck but I'm guessing it has problems with it.

hmmm, well ive got a spare brand new one from the old 01 we had, thought the one it had was bad, bought a new one but before i mounted it, i found a bad wire, fixed the wire, ran fine. have no need for it, bought it new in january, never mounted and ill sell it to you cheap, cheaper then youll find a new one anywhere else, pm sent

 

Well for that money let them replace it! Keep going till you get a good one!

 

i agree, make them replace it if they will.
