How do you adjust?

 

Safely you don't. There is an allen screw on top of the gear with a nut on it that you use to adjust it. But none of the dealers around me will do this because it rarely works and very often grenades the box shortly thereafter.

If you adjust the gear enough to make a difference it tends to explode the gear.

 

yeah even if you do tighten it up and it works. start saving for a new box as it is a short term fix
