wont start

Default wont start

ok a friend at work has a 98.5 Cummins 90,000 miles stock no gauges. he started his truck to warm it up last Tuesday went inside and went back out to find his truck not running. he has fuel but it wont start.. any suggestions?

any codes?? How cold did it get?? Fuel might of jelled up on him

dont have anything to check codes. dont think it was that cold.. it is now . he also just put fuel in it the day before this happened...

he may have a plugged up fuel filter,if a transport was dropping fuel when he filled up he may have gotten alot of sediment and plugged the filter

if its cold now he may be gelled up too.................get some 911 fuel additive and when ya change the filter pour some in there while yer at it

just changed filter yesterday had fuel filling back up when turned key on

mine gelled sunday night at 1 degree above 0 at actual temp but with -37 wind chill, ever since the switch to ulsd, ive had fuel gel 4 times in 3 trucks, all with the temps below or at 0 degrees F. it is possible as well that if its getting fuel to the VP, you could have a injection pump problem., also check the fuel heater and grid heater for continuity and see if they actually work.

you lost yer prime then

crack injector lines 1,3,4 and bump the starter to run the lift pump.....do this 3 times and then tighten the lines down then she will run
