So I'm not trying to sell this thing in the second gen problem forum,but some guy offered me $50 for a stock cam,but it's worth $100 ain't it?

question of value depends of if its used or new, im going to assume its used, so thatll depend on how many miles are on it and the exact condition of the lobes, i know in the muscle car side of the hobby, even a used high-po cam aint worth very much, most used cams sell for less then 25 bucks so in my opinion 50-75 is about right. values are low because for longevity, you really want a new cam and not a used cam, that and its advisable to use the same lifters on the right lobes so that you dont develop a vale train problem. just my 2 cents

 

50 bux sounds about right..... but i would sell him the lifters too and try to get atleast 100 cause like mentioned they are all worn for those lobes on that shaft.


to get the true value my closest recycling yard is giving $0.02 per pound for iron......
