Just wondering if there is a common problem that causes the transmission on a stock 2000 CTD with automatic trans to not shift from 1-2 properly?

The truck will go all the way to red line and not shift to 2nd gear unless I let off the accelerator. Just the slightest release of the accelerator will let it shift into second, but never until I let off slightly. Seems like something might simply be sticking. It shifts normally in all other gears, the problem only exists from 1 to 2. Otherwise the transmission works perfectly.

is this under hard acceleration, cuz mine is doin it uder hard acceleration now.

 

No. It does it under any type of acceleration, and it doesn't make any difference if I have the Edge unit set to Stock or Extreme.

 

Well, the truck is in the tranny shop. Full trans rebuild with all the good modifications and heavy duty torque converter.
