Relocating my Carter lift pump to the frame rail just in front of the fuel tank has made mine more reliable and the pressure more consistant...Vulcan has a kit for such a project.

My cheapo junkyard fuel cooler helps quite a bit.

One of the aftermarket lifetime warrantied products is always a safe bet. AirDog, Raptor, FASS, HPFP are all good choices.

You also have stock type kits with or without relocation.

But as mentioned, the Draw Straw is a good investment. Your '01 has the same extremely restrictive module fittings as my '02.
