Ok ive been having some issues with my truck. Its got some surge at light throttle. No Dead Petal just surge. The stronger the tune on the Quad Adrenaline the worse the surge. It also surges when ive got the Quad set on level 0. It surges weather the truck is warm or cold. It really surges bad with the Adrenaline on when I lug the truck. I have tried several different tunes and it still surges. When it begines to surge at light throttle if I roll into the throttle the surge is gone.

Lets take a guess on what you guys think the probelm may be.

The beginning stages of the APPS being out of adjustment. It turned into the occasional dead pedal on mine after a while and doing the APPS Adjustment I found out it was way out of specs. Put it back to the right setting and has never done it since.

Or fuel delivery problems be it the LP or a dirty filter.

 

Ya APPS was my first thought. Ive got a new LP and new filters.


I was meaning for the other option on my poll to be APPS.

 

might also be fueling too much without enough timing, too much fuel can put the fire out as well.

 

I'm going to do the quick APPS reset tomorrow. If that doesnt help then I will check the voltage on the APPS and adjust if needed.

 

I had the surge , Its improper matching of Programmer, Turbo , injectors Torque Converter

The Adrenaline on 6 and i have almost no surge at all ,

With the smarty my head would hit the roof of my truck on all settings

 

Ya I have tried almost every tune Quad has and mine still surges. This is why I dont think its the Adrenaline.

 

I had that same issue with my truck when I had nothing but my quad box on it. I called quad and they told me that they can re flash it for me but they cant guarantee that it will fix anything. He said to check the voltage to my map sensor to make sure it was good and other than that he said no matter what they have done some truck's just do it. He offered to let me go to their shop where they would pull my box off, put it on another truck and see if it would do it on that truck but he also said the only vp truck they have there almost never surges.

 

Well im going to check my MAP and APPS and see what I find.
