Tuesday I was driving home from a trip, on the way up a 6% grade at 70mph empty the turbo either shut off or got stuck for a second, then started spooling again, this happened twice about 2 miles apart, then when I got in to town I was going 35 and it cut out again... I pressed the accelerator hard, it shifted down and still no turbo( no smoke either) I pressed a bit harder it shifted down to 1st and broke the turbo loose and I had power again... this happened a second time a few blocks later... it has been 4 days and have only driven it 30 mi a day to work and back and have had no issues other than on tuesday, any help would be greatly apreciated, I think it's a berring? ..... oversized turbo, 100 horse injectors, both pumps done, edge chip, couple other things done also....

pull turbo inlet .. turbo should spin freely .. if tight .. a bearing may be buggered up

 

Code; injector pump timing failure

 

Spins clean, no play

 

If its a timing failure that would make since that it wasn't giving extra fuel to add boost.
