I feel your pain on PO maintenance schedules or lack of. Wouldn't hurt to replace the filter. I have heard of some instances changing it out can resolve FP issues.

When I picked mine up the back driver side door was stuck shut, the tires were P225/75R16 street tires (Factory tires are LT265/75R16). All fluids and filters were changed after I told the dealer the only way I would take it home is if it had all this done to it before I signed the papers.

That stuck door seems to be a common thing because mine was as well but the passengers door. Called 5 different junkyards and everyone after checking said they had the same problem. Getting this thing right but takes more money than time i guess.

These things take patience, then money, then time.

i have the FASS DDRP and pressure never gets below `11 psi it is usually at 18
it is my understanding that 10 is the cut off line.
it should never get below 10
is that correct?

I want to say I have heard the 10-14 range IIRC. But I am sure that single digit PSI are bad.

my ddrp runs11 to 19 or so they aren't that big of a volume pump but better than the carter. I'm not suprised that it dropped a little under 10 with the programmer, you're pushing more fuel through the injectors I doubt you'll hurt the vp44 add some kind of lubricant in the fuel & motor on!

The guy at the diesel shop I bought it from i trust as he and his dad eat sleep and breath performance and cummins and have for many years. I asked him straight out if I needed to worry and he said as long as I had stock sticks in it yet I could run 5 and it would not cause an issue. I use howes with every fill winter and summer so hope that is helping. Have not tried another guage yet as its been to cold to just start the truck for no reason other than this right now. Also checked and can find no codes at this time so thats making me feel a little better.
