Excuse me I meant DDRP(Dodge direct replacement pump). Got my brands mixed up, never go with a FRRP, that's made by airdog. I think you would be better off with what you have vs airdog.

Callmecowboy, it sounds like you're getting stock pumps. They don't put out as much fuel pressure as the aftermarket pumps. It sounds like you're looking for aftermarket fuel pressure from the stock pumps, which you won't get.

Airdog at least puts out the higher fuel flow and pressure. It seems a lot of people use them and like them, I have one on my truck. What seems to be the problem?

The older ones I have heard about are still running strong, The new ones are the ones giving everyone issues.

I realize i wont get the pressure of aftermarket pumps but what would explain why all of a sudden the second pump droped to 5 pounds and down to 0-1 wot. And the third was fine till one day i started truck and it was only pumping 6-8 compared to the normal 11-12 this third one didnt even last 2 months

6 PSI min. at full throttle and load is OK. The stock carters motors rarely go bad its the bypass check valve inside the pump that pops out of its seat ( poor design) and the fuel just keeps circulating inside the pump. Put a basic after market pump airdog, fass, ect. you should be fine.

Buy the Fass factory replacement $300.00 with a four year 100% warranty. I have one and it is four years old and still pumping 25psi at idle and 20+ at freeway speeds pulling my hay trailer loaded with fourteen 5x5 rolls of hay. You can't beat them. I am sure the larger Fass is better but for $300. you cant loose.
